Tombstone Children's Herbal Farmacy

The Tombstone children, like most kids, are utterly fascinated with the flora and fauna of the town. Their curiosity often leads them to notice and appreciate things that the adults overlook. It seems that the kids have discovered some fascinating and interesting plant life growing by the lake and have transplanted it to the garden boxes in the orphanage courtyard. After their hard work, the children seemed somehow more mellow than usual and they were all a bit hungry, but I suppose that's natural after an afternoon of hard work in the garden. [13:54] Midge Hiker beams and waves "Hey Rebecca!"

[13:54] Rebecca Devlin looks up and waves..."Howdy Midge. What y'all doin'?

[13:55] Midge Hiker throws her arms out proudly "Nutthin! we cun'thinks ah anything t'do! so we sittin here doin nutthin!"

[13:57] Rebecca Devlin: well...that don't sound like it's no good. Ain't y'all got no chorin' or nothin'...sure chorin' ain't fun but it keeps ya busy and makes the clock run faster.

[13:57] Midge Hiker shakes her head "Nu huh! dun all the chorin... then we sortah ran outta things t'do... so here we is...."

[13:59] Midge Hiker: An'we gots chruch soon... so bit lates t'be startin anythin anyways....

[14:00] Rebecca Devlin: yeah...well...I gots somethin' we can do afther church if'n you wanna.

[14:01] Midge Hiker: Y'has! Aww yeah! ahm in!

[14:01] Mordred Harnett: what is it rebecca?

[14:03] Midge Hiker eep's and looks round nervously "Dun tells Miss Kitty ah jumped down! She dun wants me goin' up there no more..."

[14:04] Mordred Harnett: why not?

[14:04] Midge Hiker: she tolds me off yesterday... but ah said all the other kids sits up there... and ah promised t'only use the stairs and nawt t'jump down...

[14:05] Rebecca Devlin giggles...well...you're down now and all in one piece like...that's what counts ain't it.

[14:06] Midge Hiker smiles happily "Uh huh. s'nawt far... but Miss Kitty's a little... a little... little... well it makes her nervous if ahm up there...."

[14:08] Midge Hiker: Hey! Miss Kitty's teachin' at the school nah too! dids y'know that?

[14:10] Rebecca Devlin shrugs...."I heard Loki was talkin' 'bout it...but I reckon I'm done with schoolin' I'm gettin' old and I don't fit in the seats no more no how...and my brain FEELS full most of the time.

After Church, the Kids meet up at the depot on Allen Street.

[15:18] Mordred Harnett: rebecca you look like a farmer!

[15:19] Mordred Harnett: mr rags got shot just now, but he's not dead!

[15:19] Rebecca Devlin: well...you gots to wear the right clothes when your gonna do some gardeni....Rags got whut!? ...I told ya...didn't I tell ya?

[15:19] Jin nods "that what I heard, shot I in outhouse"

[15:19] Midge Hiker nods "Ah bets it wuz Miss Downy... she scared me, then came runnin through here likes she had her tail on fire!"

[15:22] Rebecca Devlin hands a bag of Gardening tools to Joseph...c'mon...let's all go to the lake!

[15:22] Midge Hiker "Uh huh! y'comin Jin? we gonna has fun!"

[15:23] Mordred Harnett holds the bag cackhandedly and gives it a funny look

[15:24] Mordred Harnett: can i put the bag down? it's heavy!

[15:25] Rebecca Devlin nods at Joseph and points at the plants..."I don't know what they is but them would look real nice in the garden over at the orphanage!

[15:26] Midge Hiker: they smells funny....

[15:27] Mordred Harnett carelessly drops the bag of tools and looks at the flowers

[15:27] Rebecca Devlin: I think they smells nice...real earthy like

[15:27] Jin moves closer to look

[15:27] Mordred Harnett: i don't like them

[15:28] Mordred Harnett: they smell worse than old milk an fish slime mixed together

[15:28] Midge Hiker: they duz look perdy though...

[15:28] Rebecca Devlin looks at Joseph..."Well...you ain't got to like 'em...you don't live at the orphanage...you can just help dig 'em up and me and Midge and Jin'll plant 'em."

[15:29] Jin looks at the plant and touches it, "I seen before but not know where"

[15:30] Rebecca Devlin: that's alright too...I still live there right now mostly and she can come and visit 'em any time she likes...Jin can too.

[15:30] Mordred Harnett takes off his jacket and tie and folds them nicelt then drops them in the dirt by the bag

[15:31] Rebecca Devlin picks up a trowel and digs one up roots and all

[15:31] Mordred Harnett tilts his head watching rebecca

[15:31] Rebecca Devlin: see? It's real easy..."Midge next?"

[15:31] Midge Hiker gets on her knees and starts digging one out with her fingers.... slow going.... but fun...

[15:32] Rebecca Devlin hands Midge the trowel

[15:32] Midge Hiker smiles "yay!" and carries on digging

[15:33] Midge Hiker giggles as she gets all the roots out too

[15:33] Rebecca Devlin offers the trowel to Jin

[15:33] Jin watches "You think Miss Larah like plant present?2

[15:33] Jin takes trowel and helpd dig

[15:33] Midge Hiker: Oh that's ah great idea Jin!

[15:38] Mordred Harnett picks up the bag and holds it open for the tools

[15:42] Mordred Harnett: hello miss suzy

[15:42] Mordred Harnett: you missed mr rags get shot

[15:42] suzy Honi: watch out for the alligators

[15:42] suzy Honi: oh who shot him?

[15:42] Midge Hiker gasps "Yes Ma'am!"

[15:43] Mordred Harnett: theres more alligators!?

[15:43] suzy Honi: yep they all over the creek

[15:44] Midge Hiker: ah dunno... but Miss Downy got real scary with me and told me t'go way... then Mista Rags got shot and she came runnin bah like she had her tail on fire!"

[15:45] suzy Honi: he got shot outside the church well they could be lucky for him then

[15:50] Midge Hiker screws up her nose "Ah dun thinks ahm gonna get shot... dun wanna do that..."

[15:51] suzy Honi: snake bite hurts worse

[15:51] Midge Hiker nods "Dun wanna get bit either... no bitey no bullets... "

[15:52] Midge Hiker: Rebecca found sum real funny smelly plants down bah the lake an we're plantin' them by the offnage...

[15:57] suzy Honi: well ya catchem then cut their head off then put em on a stick and cook em like a marshmellow just throw the heads away

[15:58] Midge Hiker nods making a mental note of she sees that red snake in the hills again...

[15:59] suzy Honi: yup thats a good way to get food

[16:00] Mordred Harnett wrinkles his nose unimpressed

[16:00] Midge Hiker: We're helpin Rebecca plant flowers in the offnage! wanna come see?

[16:00] suzy Honi: ok

[16:00] Midge Hiker grins happily "okay!"

Meanwhile...at the Orphanage...

[15:52] Rebecca Devlin (nericiapen) picks up the shovel by the wall and makes a nice depression in the rich soil of the garden box and sets her plant in it...filling in the dirt around it.

[15:54] Jin (jinalexander18) moves over to the soil and digs with her hands, then puts the plant in the hole and pats the earth around it, wiping her dirty hands down her dress

[16:01] Midge Hiker: Hi! We finded Miss Suzy!

[16:01] Mordred Harnett rubs the line on his forehead frowning

[16:02] suzy Honi: oh those look prety

[16:02] Midge Hiker: Awwww... y'gots the planted already!

[16:02] Mordred Harnett: i like flowers with more colours than just green those are boring

[16:03] Jin nods and looks at the others

[16:03] Midge Hiker: yeah but they still looks perdy!

[16:03] suzy Honi: that would be great rattle snakes would like living in those then you could catch em and eat em

[16:03] Jin nods "snake good to eat"

[16:03] Rebecca Devlin: Yup!...you just gots to plant YOURS now Midge

[16:04] Mordred Harnett: are we going to plant them at miss kittys house?

[16:04] suzy Honi: well i must get out to the fort see you later

[16:04] Midge Hiker: Owww... we could gives Miss Kitty one if we cud grows some more

[16:04] Midge Hiker: bah miss suzy

[16:05] Jin nods "they good strong plant they grow tall"

[16:06] Rebecca Devlin nods at Midge..."When they gets seeds we'll put a nice big one in a pot for Miss Kitty and one for Ma too."
